Art appreciation

By | 22/04/2018

The Art Appreciation group meets on the third Wednesday of each month, 1-3 pm BE Library. Topics for discussion, outings and presentations are chosen democratically by the Group and are broadly based to allow everyone an opportunity to take part. We began with a Landscape and war artist partly based on the Official War Artist project and Recording Britain scheme set up by Sir Kenneth Clarke.

This initial discussion will lead on to WW2 artists in Britain, Europe and beyond, followed by Impressionists and Post Impressionism. An outing and two in-house presentations are planned. The group will make month on month decisions for the first six months.
